Job Summary
The Shift Leader is responsible for assisting the General Manager with management activities in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Key duties include ensuring high-quality customer service, improving staff performance, supporting sales and profits, and complying with company policies. Essential skills include problem solving, effective communication, team building, and strong organizational abilities. Candidates must have relevant experience in restaurant management, a high school diploma, and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately two (2) to three (3) years of experience in restaurant management or related field
- High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Team building skills
- Investigative and problem solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot cash handling problems
- Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- A telephone or other reliable method of communicating with the restaurant
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
