Job Summary
The Shift Leader assists the General Manager with management duties, overseeing Crew Persons and Team Leaders to ensure job responsibilities are met. Responsibilities include providing quality customer service, supporting sales efforts, and adhering to company policies. Qualifications include two to three years of experience in restaurant management, a High School Diploma or GED, and various problem-solving and team-building skills. The role requires personal transportation, communication access, and the ability to manage physical demands in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately two to three years of experience in restaurant management
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Team building skills
- Investigative and problem solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot cash handling problems
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Telephone or reliable method of communication with the restaurant
- Accessible to meet restaurant’s needs and maintains an open door policy
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual skills a plus
- Demonstrates oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to bend and stoop
- Must be able to work around heat
- Must be able to lift 50 – 75 lbs. comfortably
- Must be able to work with various cleaning products
