Job Summary
Shift Leader oversees operations in the absence of the General Manager, directs and supervises shift activities to maximize sales and guest satisfaction, and ensures adherence to cash handling and POS procedures. Primary responsibilities include delivering high-energy guest service, building guest relationships, planning and organizing daily routines, performing opening/closing duties, supervising staff, resolving guest questions or complaints, delegating tasks, and cross-training staff. The role requires being 18+, having a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods, comfort with walk-in coolers/freezers, basic computer or cash register operation, and the ability to work around heat and cleaning chemicals. It may involve flexible scheduling as Full-Time or Part-Time.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and stoop
- Comfortable working occasionally in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Vision abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, peripheral as well as the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to operate a computer and/or Cash register
- Must be able to work around heat and work in close quarters with others as well as handle various cleaning products
- Willing to cross-train on various positions within the restaurant
