Job Summary
Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way. Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines. Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution. Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift. Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and one that motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive Guest experience. Skilled at de-escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard. Supports Management with the inventory process. Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order. Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles. It is a role model when it comes to maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members & Guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a work or dining space. Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience. Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions. Proficient in a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively. Is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and Guest interaction
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a Restaurant Environment
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on Restaurant needs
- Possesses a Food Handler's Certification and is comfortable working around food
- Possesses an Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification and complies with all regulations
- Must be 21 years of age or older
