Job Summary
Shift Leader assists in daily oversight, coordination and execution of objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, customer service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation; delivers excellent service and maintains image standards; provides leadership support to the Manager on Duty, communicates clearly with management and team members, greets customers, answers questions about menu and specials, oversees FOH cash handling and BOH waste tracking, supports shift management, assigns daily tasks, ensures quality standards, trains and coordinates scheduling, and contributes to inventory control and cross-training; also responsible for food prep, packing, labeling, and maintaining a clean, organized work area while building loyal customers through friendly interactions and professional problem resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass applicable Company background checks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb ability to multi-task
- Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
- Ability to take orders over the counter or phone
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change
- Ability to lead the team on duty!
