Job Summary
Supports the daily functions and operations of the shelter site, handling reception, hospitality, sanitation, and site inventory while coordinating with management, case managers, and community partners. Responsibilities include wellness checks, conducting deep cleans, managing donations and shopping pod inventory, ensuring site safety and cleanliness, and providing compassionate, trauma‐informed support to participants. Requires walking outdoors in adverse weather, ability to go up and down stairs, and the ability to push/pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Shift is 4:00pm–12:30am, Wednesday through Sunday. Wage is $21.95/hour DOE + DOQ. Preferred qualifications include High School diploma or GED and two years of social services experience; strong collaboration skills and experience with individuals experiencing homelessness or related challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of social services experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Committed to trauma informed care and harm reduction approaches
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple participants’ needs effectively
