Job Summary
Shift Lead at Story Cannabis leads daily store operations and guest experiences, guiding the retail team through active floor leadership, overseeing transactions and compliance procedures, coaching team members, and maintaining store standards. Responsibilities include onboarding new associates, tracking inventory, restocking cannabis and non-cannabis products, opening/closing the store, assisting the management team, delivering exceptional customer service, building rapport with customers and vendors, recommending and locating proper products for customers, explaining cannabis effects clearly, protecting assets, setting up displays, addressing phone calls and online orders promptly, maintaining store cleanliness and HIPAA compliance, and performing related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- 1+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in a retail, hospitality, or cannabis environment
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications
- Marijuana knowledge strongly preferred
- Must be over 21 years of age
- Can legally work in the United States - all documentation required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have a valid State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have no scheduling restrictions
