Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards by gathering business requirements, creating optimized data models, and developing complex calculations using DAX. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading via Power Query, connect to SQL Server and other sources, and schedule dataset refreshes through the Power BI Service. Optimize report performance, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to ensure accuracy and consistency. Create documentation and training materials to support users. Requires 2–4 years of Power BI experience, strong SQL skills, and DAX proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modelling
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of Power BI Gateway configuration and management
- Familiarity with Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem

- Data visualization best practices and storytelling skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Power BI development and reporting
- Microsoft Power BI Certification
