Job Summary
Lead beverage and food quality, customer interactions, and store operations by educating staff on current product offerings and ensuring smooth café flow. Delegate tasks for cleaning, stocking, and prepping while managing cash drawers, deposits, and monthly inventory. Monitor daily schedules, share feedback with the Store Manager on shift outcomes, and uphold safety, cleanliness, and hospitality standards. Respond to all customer and staff inquiries with professionalism and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude under stress. Requires 30-35 hours weekly with holiday and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Full time employee (30-35 hours per week) with holiday and weekend availability
- Must be able to maintain a positive demeanor under stress with both staff and patrons
- Exercises good time management and approaches all tasks with a sense of urgency
- Has a logical and methodological approach to problem solving
- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality
- Is resourceful in challenging situations and shows excellent customer service at all times
- Demonstrates good leadership skills and is empathetic and supportive when engaging staff
- Is able to communicate clearly, honestly and promptly
- Is motivated, flexible, and professional at all times
- Practice good judgment in all situations
- Must be customer focused and sets priorities accordingly, helping coach staff in understanding proactive customer service
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Ability to maneuver effectively around the café, office, and to/from other Sightglass locations for departmental meetings
