Job Summary
Execute assigned operational tasks and provide direction to team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards. Greet and engage customers professionally while promoting membership programs, and monitor vehicle entry and exit to ensure safe, damage-free experiences. Safely operate car wash equipment, conduct quality control checks on cleaning standards, and perform routine maintenance duties including pit cleaning, vacuum station upkeep, and facility sanitation. Escalate staffing, customer service, or operational issues requiring judgement to site leadership and assist with opening and closing procedures as a keyholder. Lead by example in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under stress and enforcing company safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age (or older where required by law or safety regulations)
- Must meet all required certification and regulatory compliance standards applicable to the role as defined by federal, state, and local laws
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
- Ability to clearly give instructions, resolve conflicts, and engage with customers
- Ability to motivate team members and delegate responsibilities
- Problem solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- Time management and task prioritization during busy shifts
- Basic technical aptitude to operate car wash equipment
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, navigate spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel) and perform standard data entry tasks
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to monitor and evaluate team performance during shifts
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-first focus
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under stress
- Physically able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions
- Ability to walk, stand, and move, often uneven, moving and/ or wet surfaces through site
- Ability to stoop, crouch, bend frequently, and constantly using fingers, hands, and arms including occasional ascending and descending a ladder
- Ability to twist, carry, reach, push, and pull frequently
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance for work-related materials
- Ability to work outdoors and be efficient in all weather conditions
- Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Use of personal protective equipment (gloves, eyewear, etc.) as required
- Must be able to work in an environment with varying noise levels, including loud sounds from machinery, tools, or high-traffic areas
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs or emergencies arise
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
- Previous leadership experience in a customer-facing or operational environment (retail, car wash, ) preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred (may be required depending on location and responsibilities)
