Job Summary
Shift Lead assists the store manager in planning, directing and controlling the operation of the store and supervision of employees to control production, inventory, merchandising, losses, gross and net profit and hours of work in all departments. They assist in supervising the ordering of product to fill the store, support sales plans, and maximize sales, in addition to insuring compliance with state and federal regulations. They are responsible for all hiring, firing, promotions, demotions and disciplinary actions for all employees. They also supervise, recruit and train employees, write work schedules and reports, balance store cash, operate the cash register, and provide direction to staff; this role requires travel to and from work and a focus on leadership, policy enforcement, and sales objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Age 18+
- Read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures
- Be a self-starter
- Provide verbal and written direction to employees
- Experience- type of work: supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to operate and balance cash register
- Discipline employees when necessary
