Job Summary
Shift Lead assists the store manager in planning, directing and controlling store operations, supervising employees, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include supervising product ordering, supporting sales plans, optimizing sales, hiring/firing/promotions and disciplinary actions, training staff, writing work schedules, communicating business results, operating store equipment and cash handling, and interfacing with vendors. Requires on-call availability, ability to travel to/from work, basic math and financial interpretation, leadership and interpersonal skills, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Experience in supervision/leadership
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Develop and enforce company policies and procedures
- Discipline employees when necessary
- Assist in recruiting and training of employees
- Provide direction to employees
- Read and interpret financial statements (profit and loss)
- Operate cash register and balance store cash
- Schedule and report writing
- Travel to and from work
- Interact with vendors and customers
