Shift Lead

Shift Lead assists the store manager in planning, directing and controlling the operation of the store and supervision of employees to control production, inventory, merchandising, losses, gross and net profit and hours of work in all departments. They assist in supervising the ordering of product to fill the store, support sales plans, and maximize sales, in addition to insuring compliance with state and federal regulations. They are responsible for all hiring, firing, promotions, demotions and disciplinary actions for all employees. They must pass a pre-employment drug screen, normally work a maximum 10 hour day, possess good interpersonal skills, be mature and a proven leader, read/write/arithmetic, develop and enforce company policies, be a self-starter, travel to & from work, provide verbal & written instructions, read and interpret financial statements (including profit and loss) and set objectives, operate all equipment and balance store cash, assist in supervising, recruiting and training of employees, conduct meetings to communicate business results and direction, operate telephones and intercoms, write schedules and reports, and deal effectively with vendors, suppliers, competitors, employees and employee representatives.
