Job Summary
Lead sales initiatives and manage the associate team to drive store performance goals and KPIs. Prioritize daily tasks, delegate assignments, and act as Manager on Duty while maintaining high standards for customer service and safety. Protect employees and customers by ensuring a clean environment and proper animal care, including feeding livestock and maintaining fish systems. Execute operational duties such as restocking merchandise, conducting physical inventories, and managing store opening and closing procedures. Monitor business needs throughout the shift and communicate performance gaps to management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year retail or customer service experience
- Enjoy working with and around animals
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule which will include morning, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle preferred
- Heavy lifting up to 55lbs required several times throughout a shift
- Active listening required when communicating / speaking with customers and employees
- Active observation required when merchandising the store
