Job Summary
Assess patient needs and guide customers in selecting appropriate cannabis products while maintaining accurate records of identification and registration documents. Open and close the dispensary, ensuring POS stations are clean and stocked, and complete Budtender checklists in a timely manner. Greet every customer upon arrival and wish them farewell at departure, while managing traffic flow and responding to inquiries. Record, arrange, and sell customer orders, inform management of low-stock items, and provide in-store training and mentorship to incoming Budtenders. Maintain a professional appearance, organized environment, and facility standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 21 years or older
- Consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience with POS systems
- Ability to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiences
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or down
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience or cannabis-related experience in a customer setting
- Previous training/leadership experience a plus
- Desire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, and cannabis therapies - previous knowledge preferred
