Shift Lead - Machining

Job Summary
Shift Lead in machining leads daily shift activities on the production floor, working with supervisors, managers, and engineering teams to drive safety, quality, and production results. Responsibilities include leading daily safety talks, coordinating with maintenance/engineering for supplies and schedule support, coaching team members, training and auditing for safety and quality, inspecting work for defects, assisting with setup/changeovers, selecting and using hand/power tools, and recording production run information. Knowledge of machine control units, preventive maintenance tasks, and ability to understand specifications and finished dimensions are required.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 10 to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear required employer-provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to regularly stand and move throughout the department for the duration of the shift
- Mechanical aptitude required; prior industrial and front-line leadership experience preferred
