Job Summary
Shift Lead in a restaurant setting provides hourly management coverage during operating hours, supervises staff, drives customer service, ensures cleanliness and food safety, and performs hands-on operating duties. Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, preparing and packaging food, operating POS/cash registers, maintaining sanitation across front and back of house, assisting with food prep and dishwashing, restocking supplies, promoting new menu items, assisting with opening/closing tasks, managing shifts to ensure fair treatment and regulatory compliance, and coaching team members while addressing safety concerns. Must be able to train employees, model desired behaviors, and step in for closing (and occasionally opening) when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Basic math and reading skills
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation and able to arrive to work on time
- Positive, friendly, and courteous attitude
