Job Summary
Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn't on site, jumping into every position from cashier to grill to ensure fast, accurate service. Coach, support, and motivate crew members while helping train new team members to build a strong, positive culture. Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards while managing shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports. Work around hot equipment in a busy kitchen setting, lifting and moving supplies as needed. This hands-on leadership role offers real growth opportunities, with many leaders moving into Assistant and General Manager roles within Five Guys.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience
- A team-first mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math
- Comfort using POS systems
- On your feet, active, and engaged throughout your shift
- Work around hot equipment
- Work in a busy kitchen setting
- Lift, move, and handle supplies as needed
- Food safety certification (such as ServSafe)
