Shift Epitaxy Technician (12-Month FTC)

Job Summary
Conduct characterization of semiconductor material using appropriate tools and input data into the Manufacturing Execution System to maintain process flow. Operate low pressure MOCVD reactors by loading InP substrates and transferring product to the characterization area while performing maintenance tasks that require breathing apparatus. Manage consumable parts and actively undertake 5S initiatives while working in accordance with quality and safety policies. Provide effective handovers to other technicians and engineers and work with teams to develop and document new processes. This 12-month FTC role involves flexible cross-boundary work within the Epitaxy team supporting III-V product development and production teams in cleanrooms and laboratories.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in running material/product assessment/evaluation tools and accurately recording data
- Ability to follow detailed written and/or verbal instructions
- Proven ability to take accurate notes relating to the processes
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to use web-based or bespoke software tools on PC
- Willing to shave clean for maintenance days
Desired Qualifications
- HNC in a relevant subject
- Confident working safely with chemicals
- Experience in MOVPE epitaxy growth systems or similar systems
- Experience in working within a semiconductor fab
