Job Summary
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, fan coil units, and associated equipment while diagnosing faults and performing first-line repairs to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Monitor and maintain guestroom comfort by resolving temperature, airflow, and ventilation issues, and respond promptly to guest requests, maintenance issues, and emergency breakdowns. Support seasonal HVAC changeovers, manage stock levels of essential parts, and maintain accurate maintenance records. Follow all health, safety, and compliance procedures while working collaboratively with colleagues and contractors. This role is primarily Monday to Friday with occasional shift cover required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a hotel engineering department or a similar maintenance environment.
- Experience or knowledge of HVAC systems, including fan coil units, air handling units and heating and cooling equipment.
- Good understanding of fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance and general building services.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Commitment to delivering excellent guest service while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
