Shift Engineer

Respond and attend to guest repair requests, communicating with customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing work. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on MEP systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and guestroom items. Program TVs, assist with surface preparation and painting, and complete thorough cleanup of work areas. Display proficiency in categories such as air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, and perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel systems. Schedule is shift-based with on-call rotation. Requires Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification, valid driver's license, and at least two years of hotel engineering experience. High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
