Job Summary
Shift Engineer at Arla’s Stourton Dairy in Leeds, responsible for 24/7 maintenance and breakdown support across complex production lines, performing planned preventative maintenance via CMMS, diagnosing issues with structured problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement within an engineering team. Requires time-served or apprentice-trained background (NVQ Level 3/ONC/HNC or above) with experience in FMCG/regulatory manufacturing, proficiency in CMMS/SAP PM, strong RCA/fault-finding skills, safety-conscious and collaborative mindset. Role follows a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) with a competitive salary and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3/ONC/HNC or above
- time-served or apprentice-trained engineering background
- experience in FMCG/regulated manufacturing environments
- proficient with CMMS (SAP PM or similar)
- problem-solving skills including RCA and fault-finding
- awareness of health and safety standards and risk assessments
- ability to collaborate across teams
