Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution, lighting, motors, controls, and equipment powering GM's vehicle production and operations. Troubleshoot complex issues on production lines, read blueprints and schematics, and perform preventive maintenance while strictly adhering to safety standards including NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout. Partner with cross-functional teams to keep plants running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This skilled labor role supports automotive manufacturing and service facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an Electrician
- Ability to install, maintain and repair electrical distribution, lighting, motors, controls and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues on production lines
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance
- Knowledge of safety standards including NFPA 70E
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
