Job Summary
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing equipment, diagnose and repair electrical faults, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery. Maintain three-phase motors, control circuits, and variable speed drives while reading schematics and completing documentation in the CMMS. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement projects while adhering to all health and safety procedures. Work a rotating shift schedule from Monday to Friday with a starting salary of £45.5k.
Required Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
- ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment
- PLC fault diagnosis
- Three-phase motor control
- Relay logic
- AC & DC variable speed drives
- Electrical safety circuits
- Sensors (proximity, optical etc.)
- Experience working with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron or Telemecanique equipment
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
- Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
- 3 shift rotation Monday to Friday (6-2, 2-10, 10-6)
- Salary Banding – starting from £45.5k
