Job Summary
Lead a team of 3-6 clinicians and manage care for up to 24 clients in a 24/7 detox unit, coordinating intakes, discharges, and transfers to other levels of care. Serve as the primary trainer for new staff, facilitate psychoeducational groups, and develop treatment and disposition plans addressing the client as a whole person. Provide direction on daily operations, including supply management, scheduling, and case management functions. Participate in crisis and behavior management interventions and conduct one-on-ones to ensure the treatment team understands client needs. Maintain a safe therapeutic environment that emphasizes recovery, resilience, and building a sense of community while acting as a community liaison with hospitals and law enforcement. Work Wednesday through Saturday overnight shifts (8:30 pm - 7:00 am) onsite at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with CPR/First Aid) or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Required QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel). Must obtain QMAP certification within 30 days of hire.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Shift Coordinator I Requirements: High School diploma with Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) actively registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) or Bachelor's degree with plan to obtain CAT credential within 18 months from hire date.
- Shift Coordinator II Requirements: Bachelor's level degree is required.
- For candidates grandfathered into the Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential, High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential is required.
- Required Vaccination and TB Test.
- All employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work.
