Job Summary
Lead a work group of 3-6 clinicians for a day shift, managing care for up to 24 clients while coordinating intakes, discharges, and transfers. Serve as the primary trainer for new staff and facilitate psychoeducational groups. Assist the Clinical Manager with daily unit operations, including supply needs, scheduling, and case management functions. Conduct one-on-ones to ensure the treatment team understands client needs and provide trauma-informed interventions. Participate in crisis and behavior management as needed. Maintain a safe therapeutic environment that emphasizes recovery and community. This role operates at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery's Detox Center, providing ASAM 3.2 level care to individuals experiencing acute intoxication or withdrawal.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with CPR/First Aid) or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- Required QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel). Must obtain QMAP certification within 30 days of hire.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Shift Coordinator I Requirements: High School diploma with Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) actively registered with Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA) or Bachelor's degree with plan to obtain CAT credential within 18 months from hire date.
- Shift Coordinator II Requirements: Bachelor's level degree is required.
- For candidates grandfathered into the Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential, High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential is required.
- Required Vaccination and TB Test.
- All employees are required to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and present a negative TB test result before their first day of work.
