Job Summary
Supervise front-of-house restaurant staff including hosts, waitstaff, and bar employees by providing feedback, modifying assignments, and enforcing health, safety, and sanitation standards. Maintain guest service standards through direct interaction, table touches, and reporting issues to management while assisting with weekly scheduling, timekeeping, and data entry. Conduct food service training for front-of-house staff and cross-train under management observation. Requires standing and walking for most of the shift with occasional lifting up to 35 lbs. Full-time position at The Hotel Hershey offering free Hersheypark admission, medical, dental, and vision coverage starting the first month, plus 401K and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Food & Beverage or related experience
- 18 years of age or older
- RAMP certification
- ServSafe Manager certification
- Able to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- Exercise clear judgment in pressure situations and maintain professionalism
- Ability to model the Hotel's standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work without direct supervision and multi-task to manage Room Service and Chef's Market simultaneously
- Proven employee/guest relations, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances
- Regular verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person
- Ability to lift 35 lbs maximum weight
- Ability to reach forward occasionally
- Ability to reach overhead occasionally
- Ability to stoop occasionally
- Ability to bend occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
