Job Summary
Manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets while ensuring the final product meets client specifications and SPI standards. Motivate teams, maximise hourly and daily production efficiency, and utilise integrated management systems to adhere to health, safety, quality, and GMP regulations. Ensure all paperwork, hygienic audits, and housekeeping procedures are completed accurately. Assist in developing skills matrices, training new starters, and identifying Line Leaders through meetings and PDP programs. Monitor waste, conduct RTWs and disciplinary investigations, act as a machinery specialist, and cover the Area Manager during absences. Liaise with clients as required and rotate through 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Rotational shifts: 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; 10pm-6am
- Experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities
- Experience of manufacturing machinery and processes
- H&S L2 Qualification
- NVQ L2 in Team Leading of Packing Operations
- Ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines
- Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement
- Able to work towards targets
- Must be prepared to cover a variety of shifts to represent the management team
