Job Summary
Isanti County is seeking Sheriff Reserve Officer Volunteers to provide supplementary assistance at special events, traffic or crowd control, and administrative support. The role is unpaid and entails a commitment of at least ten hours per month, which may include patrolling, attending meetings, and assisting with various duties as assigned. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, and have no felony convictions. Additional requirements include passing a background investigation and an oral interview, possessing a valid driver's license, and having a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- A United States citizen
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must have no felony convictions
- Must pass a background investigation
- Successfully pass an oral interview
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency
- Be of sound physical and mental health
- Have a history of good personal conduct
- Be able to commit a minimum of ten (10) hours per month
- Be able to patrol once or twice a month. Preference on nights and weekends
- Be able to attend monthly meetings
- Must not have been removed or be in bad standing with any other reserve unit
- False claims or statements on application or misleading background will be auto disqualifier
