Patrol designated areas to prevent, deter, and suppress traffic violations and criminal activity while enforcing state and local laws; investigate offenses under Michigan penal code; transport prisoners; accompany inmates to court; respond to emergencies; maintain contact with the Sheriff’s Office; require driving and firearm proficiency, valid driver’s license, and ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions; daily travel and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; evening/weekend shifts; emphasis on public safety and law-enforcement duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
