Job Summary
Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and measurement analysis to define projects for customer requirements using PFMEA, control plans, and capability analysis. Ensure Cost of Quality metrics align with strategic initiatives while establishing continuous improvement programs that support Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Interact daily with the production floor to assist in meeting efficiencies, review Key Performance Indicators to prevent substandard products, and investigate customer inquiries to develop permanent corrective actions. Supervise the Quality team, manage the Hold for Inspection (HFI) system, and lead monthly Quality Management Review meetings. Ensure compliance with OSHA, USEPA, and State regulations, track health and safety training records, and travel to other plants to establish best practices. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with five years of quality experience in high-volume manufacturing required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety or Business Management
- Minimum 5 years of quality experience in a high volume fast-paced manufacturing operation
- Must have experience with preventive quality engineering techniques such as PFMEA, control plans, process mapping
- Must have experience being involved with and/or leading EHS-related items or projects
- Knowledge of and experience with utilizing Lean manufacturing practices
- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong problem solver with good work ethic and decision-making skills
- Microsoft Office experience required
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in Environmental or Health & Safety related programs preferred
- OSHA30 certification a plus
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
