Shelter Worker/Resident Assistant - Men's Shelter (Part Time- 8 hours/week)

Job Summary
Monitor shelter residents and ensure a safe environment by conducting security wandings, performing random checks, and making facility rounds every half hour. Provide direct support to residents while maintaining cleanliness of the facility and linens. Complete daily shift logs, review communication logs, and perform electronic intakes and time sheets in ADP. Make referrals to alternative emergency shelters when Program beds are unavailable. Check individual work email daily and attend monthly staff and resident meetings. Complete all mandatory and requested in-service training. This part-time role includes a Thursday shift from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
- Crisis intervention skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to work in a continually changing and challenging environment
- Flexibility in personal work schedule
- Availability for relief hours as needed
- Basic computer skills
