Job Summary
Provide direct client support in a shelter setting with a focus on customer service, client intake, and information/referrals while maintaining a safe, orderly environment. Responsibilities include conducting client intakes, explaining agency policies, HMIS data entry and documentation, assisting with shelter operations, coordinating with leadership on safety concerns, managing donor/visitor interactions, restocking supplies, ensuring bed occupancy accuracy, and supporting meals and shift change communications. Preferred qualifications include bilingual ability, experience with homelessness, CPR-First Aid within 90 days, and Narcan training within 90 days. The role requires adherence to shelter policies, collaboration with partners, and strong organizational and communication skills during a night shift in Phoenix, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Moderate proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience working with the homeless and/or impoverished
- CPR-First Aid certification within 90 days of employment
- Naloxone (Narcan) training within 90 days of employment
