Job Summary
Shelter Support Staff provides day-to-day shelter operations support under supervision, assisting eligible clients with intake, services, and referrals; maintains knowledge of community programs, ensures compliance with agency and funding regulations, handles food service, cleanliness, safety, and security, maintains shelter inventory, conducts crisis intervention, enters data into HMIS and agency databases (GoEngage or similar), and supports training and confidentiality. Requires High School Diploma and CPR/First Aid within 12 months; full-time evening/night shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) in Conway, AR with benefits and a range of leave and insurance offerings. responsibilities also include coordinating with providers, volunteers, staff, and community members, and ensuring accurate data reporting for CSBG.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- CPR and First Aid Certification within 12 months
- Experience in shelter setting (preferred)
- Experience in managing records and preparing written documents (hard copies and electronic)
- Valid drivers license and access to transportation with liability insurance
- Be willing to use vehicle for agency-related travel
- Able to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
- Good physical condition
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate groups
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Flexibility in schedule
