Job Summary

Conduct continuous observation of clients, assist with intake screening, and implement individualized care plans within a low-barrier shelter environment. Manage crisis de-escalation, maintain infection control standards, and accurately document all interactions and incidents. Facilitate client access to social, behavioral health, and housing resources while participating in clinical supervision and required trainings. Work part-time Saturdays and Sundays in an unpredictable setting requiring strong situational awareness and emotional resilience.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals facing mental health, substance use, or homelessness challenges
  • Strong observational and situational awareness skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Emotional resilience and ability to maintain professional boundaries in high-stress environments
  • Physical ability to perform job duties (standing, lifting, cleaning, etc.)
  • Shift work required, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Desired Qualifications

  • Additional behavioral health or peer support certification
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn trauma-informed and harm-reduction care practices
