Job Summary
Provide logistical support and maintenance for the KLEO Community Family Life Center shelter, including setup for new arrivals ( linens, bed assignments, welcome kits ), dining area setup and cleanup, laundry services for linens/towels/resident clothing, custodial and janitorial duties to uphold facility standards, and assisting with receiving, unloading, and stocking supply deliveries. Communicate and enforce shelter rules and safety policies, de-escalate conflicts, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with Shelter Program & Client Services Manager and leadership to support shelter operations. Requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to carry items up stairs, and proficiency with Google Workspace or MS Office; CPR training and background check are required. Knowledge or experience serving individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and timely execution of duties as part of a coordinated shelter operation.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or four-years of equivalent experience
- Experience providing services to individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Sensitivity to issues of diversity and commitment to being a team player
- Background Check
- Possession of or ability to complete CPR Training
