Shelter Support Advocate - Wednesday-Saturday, 6pm-10pm

Job Summary
Answer crisis calls, provide intervention information, safety planning, and advocacy while completing required intake documentation. Monitor entry and exit of guest and visitor traffic, assist in daily charting, and document all information regarding crisis calls and direct services. Perform day-to-day shelter operations including supporting meal preparation, transportation, and children's activities, while responding to emergencies and transporting guests as needed. Maintain a working knowledge of community resources and attend training to meet domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking standards. Work Wednesday-Saturday, 6pm-10pm, available for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
- Must have valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse issues and trends
- Ability to respond to physical emergencies, including immediate evacuation of buildings and potential client medical and behavior situations
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Willing and able to work both independently and as a team member
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict
- Excellent initiative, integrity and strong sense of professionalism
- Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Office 365 products
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in domestic violence or sexual assault field, volunteer experience, or related experience is suggested
- Experience working with diverse people and groups
