Job Summary
Conduct neighborhood patrols, assist with shelter setup and maintenance, and maintain facility cleanliness while supporting the Emergency Shelter Program. Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed services to guests, encourage progress toward housing, and manage daily administrative tasks including record keeping, tally sheets, and vendor order verification. Set up audio equipment, organize supplies, and complete ad hoc projects as assigned. Work weekends in two shifts (Saturday-Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) at a rate of $21.00 per hour. Fluency in Spanish is of significant value.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals who present for services with urgent multiple case management and health needs
- Ensure a client-focused, trauma-informed, and housing-focused shelter approach
- Ability to perform crisis intervention as needed
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
