Job Summary
Support the Emergency Shelter Program by assisting with shelter setup, maintaining facility cleanliness, and conducting neighborhood patrols. Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed service delivery while encouraging guests to progress toward housing. Manage administrative tasks including keeping daily summary sheets, verifying vendor orders, and organizing supplies. Maintain audio equipment and post service calendars to ensure a safe, client-focused environment. Work Monday through Friday in the 1st or 2nd shift, with a requirement to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced setting. Fluency in Spanish is of significant value.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals who present for services with urgent multiple case management and health needs
- Ensure a client-focused, trauma-informed, and housing-focused shelter approach
- Ability to perform crisis intervention as needed
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
