Job Summary
Open and close Cornerstone House shelter at assigned hours while remaining on-site for the full 6:00 pm to 8:30 am shift, with sleep time permitted between midnight and 7:00 a.m. Enforce COVID-related protocols, maintain facility cleanliness, and oversee resident duties. Keep lines of communication open with the Business Manager, Caseworker, and Corps Officer regarding special situations, repairs, supplies, and room availability. Conduct monthly fire drills as scheduled and cover shifts on specified holidays or during inclement weather. Uphold Regulation and Standards of Operations, communicate rules to residents, and report violations to supervisors. Adhere to the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or higher education
- Organizational Skills
- skills, experience and/or training to interact with clients at point of need
- First Aid Certification
- Must understand and appreciate the mission of The Salvation Army
