Shelter Program Manager

Job Summary

Oversee daily operations and service delivery of La Casa's confidential Emergency Shelter, ensuring 24/7/365 support for residents through staff supervision, safety protocols, and administrative management. Direct hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and training for program and project staff while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal contract and grant requirements. Collect client documentation and program data accurately, build community partnerships, and coordinate meetings across multiple sites. Provide 24-hour on-call emergency coverage and serve as an integral member of the management team. Support evaluation of client satisfaction and program effectiveness, performing special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Administration, Business, or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience
  • staff management experience
  • Experience managing government grants and/or contracts
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Completion of a state-mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence Counselor Training
  • willingness to complete the next scheduled agency training

  • Successful completion of a DOJ Live Scan background check
  • TB (Tuberculosis) clearance
  • Valid California driver's license
  • clean driving record
  • insurability under agency policy
  • Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will include some day, evening, night, weekend & holiday hours
  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
