Job Summary
Shelter Monitor duties include supervising, caring for, and ensuring the safety of residents in a part-time weekend-shift role. Responsibilities cover maintaining a clean, safe shelter environment; overseeing daily house activities; providing counseling and goal planning where assigned; accompanying residents to appointments; assisting with housing searches; reviewing daily logs; conducting site rounds; participating in staff trainings; and supervising children in shelter childcare during day shifts, with duties spanning meal planning, activities, and family meetings. Requires a High School Diploma, child-abuse/maltreatment and federal criminal clearances, a valid driver's license and vehicle, and physical ability to lift and move residents and assist with daily operations under the direction of the Operations Director.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (minimum)
- Clearance from Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment and federal criminal clearance
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Physical ability to lift and carry babies/toddlers, packages, and climb stairs
- Ability to use a computer
