Job Summary
Collaborate in case management using the Youth Assessment and Prioritization tool to develop personal service plans that achieve housing objectives. Provide housing-focused life skills training, including meal preparation and personal finance, while identifying community resources to meet client needs. Transport participants to appointments and establish safety through person-centered care and early intervention for emergency situations. Perform residence maintenance, maintain incident reports and case notes, and offer emotional support to youth and their natural supports. This temporary role at the Downtown Youth Centre in Kelowna runs 26 hours weekly from 1pm-5pm on Mondays, and 4pm-12am on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate in a related human/social service field
- One (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Class 5 driver licence and vehicle
- Union membership
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
