Job Summary
Provide crisis interventions via a 24-hour Crisis Line during assigned shift and support Shelter residents in Garland and Plano by advocating for safety, empowerment, and optimum mental health. Maintain accurate client files in Salesforce and hard copies, conduct intakes/exits, arrange emergency transportation, and share client concerns with appropriate staff. Train and collaborate with Shelter volunteers, assess clients’ physical, social, and emotional needs, and apply appropriate interventions. Uphold confidentiality, build rapport with clients and their children, deliver respectful programs, and participate in trainings and shelter staff meetings. Must be available to work any shift at either shelter location and at Outreach locations, including weekends and holidays. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Stay current on domestic violence knowledge and ensure culturally sensitive service delivery; maintain compliance with policies during pandemics and remove discriminatory barriers. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to lift 10+ pounds
- Ability to type
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
- One-year experience with victims of domestic violence desirable
