Job Summary
Set up, wind, and insulate primary and/or secondary transformer coils using computer-controlled machines at Eaton's Nacogdoches, TX facility. Retrieve parts from run sheets, interpret winding specifications, and adjust mandrels, insulation, and wire alignment to meet quality standards. Operate overhead cranes, crimp wire, apply pack out, and rework defective coils while enforcing lockout/tagout protocols and OSHA safety guidelines. Maintain production rates, log scrap metal, and perform routine machine upkeep in a hot, loud environment. Work Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with overtime potentially mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility.
- Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials.
- Ability to work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises.
- Must adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including Over the Elbow Sleeves, Safety Glasses, Brazing Glasses, Welding Hood/Shield, Ear plugs, and Steel Toe.
