Job Summary
Senior-level design/drafting role producing layouts and drawings for tank/vessel/fabrication projects. Responsible for creating and checking designs, coordinating jobs, training, applying API/AISC/ASME codes, performing BOM checks, ensuring constructability and accuracy, utilizing AutoCAD and Inventor, collaborating with drafting team, and handling occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ year of accredited drafting or design training is preferred
- 4+ years of related tank, vessel or fabrication experience required
- Advanced AutoCAD and/or Inventor knowledge preferred
- Strong understanding of various drafting disciplines such as vessels, structural, etc.
- General understanding of fabrication, purchasing, and field construction
- Ability to understand and use general math and advanced trigonometry functions
- Possess good communication skills both written and oral
- Knowledge and understanding of API, AISC, ASME and various codes and standards required for different types of work
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work
- Ability to work well with others and be a strong team player
- Occasional overtime may be required
