Job Summary
Operation and maintenance of refrigeration systems at the Shelbyville Plant. Responsibilities include maintaining safe work practices, performing maintenance on ammonia and related equipment (ammonia compressors, air compressors, thermal fluid heaters, room intakes/exhausts, steam boilers, and chiller water systems), learning Tyson SAP for work orders and daily documentation, completing required safety training including HAZMAT certification, and meeting physical requirements (lifting 70 lbs+, standing/walking for extended periods) in a cold/damp to hot environment. 3rd shift evenings and weekends; relocation not offered. Required Qualifications
- Industrial Maintenance/Refrigeration Training Course or schooling in an Industrial Maintenance/Refrigeration Training Program
- 1-2 years' experience in Industrial Maintenance/Refrigeration OR 3-4 years minimum in documented Industrial Maintenance/Refrigeration role
- Must complete HAZMAT certification and pass HAZMAT physical and safety training
- Ability to lift 70lbs+ daily and work on feet for long periods
- Experience with ammonia and various refrigeration systems (compressors, chillers, boilers)
- Familiarity with SAP software for work orders and documentation
- Safety-consciousness and physical capability for shift work and environment conditions
