Job Summary

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, then troubleshoot and repair equipment failures to support production needs. Document all work performed using SAP and assist with installations, upgrades, and modifications as directed. Use hand and power tools, welders, and diagnostic devices to complete tasks while adhering to Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and hot work permitting procedures. Communicate clearly with production, sanitation, and QA personnel to identify issues and report recurring problems with long-term solutions. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a wet, cold environment (40°F–50°F) with exposure to moving equipment and chemicals. Candidates must have industrial maintenance experience and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings
  • Proficient use of hand tools, welding equipment, and multimeters
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation (SAP, email, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and kneel for extended periods (entire shift – approx. 8+ hours)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
  • Willingness to work in a wet, cold, and noisy environment (approx. 40°F–50°F)
  • Willingness to work at heights, or on ladders or platforms when required
  • Willingness to wear hearing protection
  • Willingness to wear slip-resistant footwear
  • Willingness to wear a hard hat
  • Willingness to wear cut-resistant gloves when working with sharp tools or materials
  • Willingness to wear safety glasses
  • Willingness to wear other PPE as designated by task (e.g., welding helmet, face shield, respiratory protection)
  • Willingness to follow proper LOTO procedures and use insulated tools
  • Willingness to use fall protection and follow ladder/platform safety procedures
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE and stay clear of moving parts
  • Willingness to wear chemical-resistant PPE and follow SDS guidelines
  • Willingness to use proper lifting techniques and request help when needed
  • Up to 1 year of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Some schooling in Industrial Maintenance Training Program or 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Completed Industrial Maintenance Course Or Some Schooling In Industrial Maintenance Training Program AND 3 – 5 Years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Completed Industrial Maintenance Course and 1-3 Years Of Industrial Maintenance or Some Schooling in Industrial Maintenance Training Program and 6-7 Years Of Industrial Maintenance Experience Or 7-8 Years Of Industrial Maintenance Experience
  • Completed Industrial Maintenance Course and 3+ Years Of Industrial Maintenance Or Some Schooling In Industrial Maintenance Training Program
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
