Job Summary
Underwriter I role focusing on evaluating, underwriting and contracting retail loan applications in accordance with fraud controls and loan processing policies; ensure correct loan promotions and documents are created for execution; provide a perfect client experience to dealers while building and maintaining lending relationships; assist dealers with financing procedures, policies, and options; communicate effectively with dealer/customer clients via outbound and inbound calls; maintain knowledge of Sheffield financing products and MSRPs; participate in dealer penetration and relationship campaigns; log and verify personal and dealer information accurately; adhere to SLA timeframes; assist in fraud management and BSA/AML risk mitigation; follow underwriting and scorecard processes to document accounts and apply correct mitigating factors; calculate long-term value and advance rates under OEM guidelines; in-office role with weekend hours during busy seasons.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong decision making and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
