Job Summary
Interpret construction drawings and perform layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of light gage metalwork including ductwork, lockers, cabinets, bulkheads, doors, and furniture using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures, and shop machinery. Work in restricted or confined spaces and radiological areas while climbing, crawling, lifting, and operating machinery. Requires own basic hand tools and ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance. Willing to accept road job assignments and work all shifts. Hourly rates range from $33.19 to $43.61.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant technical experience
- 5+ years of relevant sheetmetal fabrication experience
- Must be able to work all shifts and in all environments as well as Radiological areas of the boat
- Willing to accept road job assignments
- Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance
